Lac-Mégantic, August 9, 2011 – The Honourable Christian Paradis, Member of Parliament for Mégantic—L’Érable, Minister of Industry and Minister of State (Agriculture) has announced a contribution to the City of Lac-Mégantic from Canadian Heritage.

Mr. Paradis is delighted with the grant: “The festivities surrounding Lac en Fête in Lac-Mégantic are just great every year. The organizers always manage to crank it up a notch with every edition and offer a wide range of activities. And of course there’s the international swim across the lake, which is now a favourite for the world’s top swimmers. For all these reasons, Canadian Heritage is giving Lac en Fête a $15,400 dollars grant.”

Lac en Fête is planning a number of events, including Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day celebrations on June 23 and the international swim across the lake from August 12 to 14, 2011.
